Description

Overview

Irozon PostNord for WooCommerce adds a PostNord shipping method to your WooCommerce store, built for merchants delivering within Sweden. You enter your own shipping prices from your PostNord business agreement — this plugin never invents, estimates, or automatically fetches your contracted rates. Optionally, it can call PostNord’s live Delivery Options API to offer customers a choice of mailbox delivery, nearby service points, or parcel lockers at checkout.

What the Free version includes

• One configurable “Irozon PostNord Shipping” method, added per WooCommerce shipping zone.
• Manual weight-bracket pricing: up to 0.5 / 1.0 / 1.5 / 2.0 kg, each priced by you, plus an optional fallback rate for anything outside those brackets.
• Optional live PostNord Delivery Options: mailbox delivery, named service points, and parcel lockers, independently toggled, sorted by distance, with distance/ETA shown where PostNord provides them.
• Sandbox and Production API modes, with a one-click “Test connection” check.
• Support for both the WooCommerce Checkout Block and classic checkout, on any theme.
• HPOS-compatible: the plugin only ever adds a rate to WooCommerce’s own shipping package and lets WooCommerce’s own order-item API persist the resulting metadata — it never writes directly to legacy post-meta tables.
• A collapsed-by-default, PII-free diagnostics panel for troubleshooting.

Delivery options

When live delivery options are enabled, checkout can offer mailbox delivery (one option, where available), service points (the nearest named PostNord service points), and parcel lockers (the nearest parcel lockers). Each type has its own on/off toggle and a “maximum nearby” limit you control. If the live API call fails, times out, is disabled, or the destination/weight is incomplete, checkout falls back to a single standard “PostNord” rate — delivery-option lookup can never make checkout unusable, and never changes the price.

Requirements

• WordPress 6.0 or later (tested up to WordPress 6.6)
• WooCommerce 8.0 or later
• PHP 8.1 or later
• A PostNord business account with Delivery Options API access — only required if you enable live delivery options. Manual weight-bracket pricing works without any PostNord API credentials.

Installation

1. Download the plugin ZIP from this page after checkout.
2. In your WordPress admin: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP, install, then activate. (Requires WooCommerce to already be active.)
3. Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping, and open or create a shipping zone covering Sweden.
4. Add shipping method → Irozon PostNord Shipping.
5. Enter your sender details and, if you want live delivery options, your PostNord API credentials (start with Sandbox), plus your weight-bracket prices.

Configuration

Configure everything under WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping → (your zone) → Irozon PostNord Shipping: method title, sender country/postcode, API mode (Sandbox/Production), PostNord API key and customer key, live delivery options on/off with independent mailbox/service-point/parcel-locker toggles, a “maximum nearby locations” limit, distance/ETA display toggles, your per-bracket prices, an optional fallback rate, and a collapsed Advanced diagnostics section.

Privacy and data handling

• Manual weight-bracket pricing requires no PostNord API credentials and sends no data anywhere.
• If you enable live delivery options, the plugin sends destination and package details to PostNord’s Delivery Options API server-side, only when a customer is at checkout — never to Irozon.
• Your PostNord API key and customer key are stored as a WordPress option on your own site, never echoed back into the settings form, never included in any AJAX/REST response, and redacted from any error text before it’s logged or displayed.
• The optional diagnostics panel (admin-only) stores a bounded, PII-free summary of the last delivery-options request — no customer name, address, phone, email, or API key is ever included.
• No data is sent to Irozon by this plugin at any point.

Community-level support is provided for installation issues and reproducible bugs in the Free edition. Custom configuration, third-party plugin/theme conflicts, and feature requests are not included. Response times are not guaranteed.

Limitations

This Free edition does not:

• Automatically retrieve your contracted PostNord prices — you enter them yourself.
• Book PostNord shipments, create or print labels, or synchronize tracking.
• Offer bulk label actions, cancellation/rebooking, or multiple sender addresses.
• Ship EU or international zones — Free is Sweden-only.
• Include any licensing, subscription, upgrade-purchase, or remote entitlement check.
